The Virginia Commercial Space Flight Authority (VCSFA) is the FAA licensed operator of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS). In an excellent example of regional and national cooperation, Virginia and Maryland have joined forces to operate the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS), formerly known as the Virginia Space Flight Center.

MARS leverages a unique rocket launching icon - Wallops Flight Facility - into a modern spaceport that currently provides launch support services and facilities to NASA, DARPA, Air Force, commercial and academic users. MARS is a full-service spaceport, offering two FAA licensed launch pads for LEO access as well as access to three suborbital rail launchers, vehicle/payload storage, processing and launch facilities, a federal launch range and a cadre of experienced space technicians and engineers.

For over a decade, members of Spaceport Support Services have been an integral part of development and expansion of many projects for MARS. This relationship has been beneficial to the growth of both organizations and the local community.
